The 2012 Canada-Ontario Forage and Livestock Transportation Assistance Initiative assists Ontario livestock producers in designated areas who are experiencing extraordinary feeding costs due to forage shortages caused by the 2012 drought.
The initiative provides transportation assistance to eligible applicants in Ontario for eligible costs incurred to transport hay, straw, silage and green feed to livestock or eligible breeding livestock (beef cattle, sheep, goats, horses) to a feed source.
The 2012 Canada-Ontario Forage and Livestock Transportation Assistance Initiative applies to the period from July 1, 2012 to March 15, 2013.
Applications must be fully completed and submitted to Agricorp by 11:59 p.m. on March 22, 2013.
Please read the 2012 Canada-Ontario Forage and Livestock Transportation Assistance Initiative Guidelines before completing the application. If there is any conflict between the information on this website and the Guidelines or OIC 200/2011, the Guidelines and OIC 200/2011 take precedence.
This initiative is delivered under the AgriRecovery framework, which allows governments to respond to unforeseen disasters that result in extraordinary costs for producers. AgriRecovery is part of Growing Forward, a federal, provincial, territorial initiative.
