Restauranteurs have reported being required to deny entry to Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) personnel.

Soldiers do not receive their COVID-19 shots through the provincial system. They receive their healthcare directly from the Federal Government.

Women and men in uniform are not emailed confirmation of their injections the way civilians are.

Since rules for “Proof of Vaccination” came into effect last week, those who serve our country in uniform are being denied access to places requiring “official” proof of vaccination documentation.

It is not known if the COVID-19 inoculation details are even noted in the medical records of CAF members.

The way those, who put their lives on the line to defend our nation, are treated by the recycled Liberal government is a disgrace.

I encourage everyone concerned about the treatment of the people serving in the Canadian Armed Forces to co-sign my letter to the Commander Military Personnel Command and Chief of Military Personnel, Lieutenant-General Steve Whelan.

Co-Sign My Letter to Lt-Gen Whelan

Dear Lieutenant-General Whelan,

I write to you concerned over reports Canadian Military Personnel are being denied services at certain businesses and settings.

I understand soldiers lack “proof of vaccination” as required by provincial health authorities.

Thank you for your attention on this issue.

I look forward to your response on behalf of all military personnel.

Sincerely,

Cheryl Gallant, M.P.
