Beachburg, Ontario – Cheryl Gallant, Member of Parliament for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke, today congratulated the Whitewater Bromley Community Health Centre Advisory Board on being selected to receive funding under the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP).
This program funding will ensure that rural seniors in Beachburg, Westmeath and surrounding areas have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities and take an active role within their communities through various arts and recreation programs, and nutrition education that will benefit their social and physical health.
The New Horizons funding of $23,850 will enable Whitewater Bromley Community Health Centre Advisory Board to initiate a variety of activities and educational and recreational workshops.
“The programs will be inclusive to all area seniors. A range of programs will be designed to be informative and enjoyable. The Whitewater Bromley Community Health Centre Advisory Board endeavours to assist seniors in the area with a positive approach to good health and well-being”, stated M.P. Gallant.
